Feliz 2011

My husband and I decided not to go anywhere for Christmas break this year.  It's been nice being lazy and doing whatever I want, but I realized that the last time I hadn't gone anywhere for Christmas was probably freshman year of high school.  A bit strange, to say the least.  I've done a lot of traveling and moving in the past 15 years, and an enormous amount in the past 4.  It was about time for a rest, I suppose.  I've also decided that I'm about done sending Christmas cards.  Facebook and email is so much easier and cost efficient.

Baltimore has been good to both of us so far, and is already starting to feel like home.  I love my job teaching ESOL in Baltimore City Public Schools, and Edwin enjoys interpreting and translating for the school system.  We've been here since September, and are both glad to be here after a rather lousy start in North Carolina.  There's yummy Greek food across the street and basically anything that we could want from El Salvador except 80 degree Decembers and the beach within walking distance.

What I'm looking forward to in 2011 (not exactly resolutions, but things that I'm going to do or would like to get done):
  1. Start saving for a down payment on a house.  Rent is ridiculous and a mortgage would be cheaper.
  2. Go to big TESOL in New Orleans.
  3. Teach online again, and maybe go back to Peru.
  4. Be in Roatan or Colombia or at least El Salvador this time next year.
  5. Make myself run again, since zumba and yoga aren't cutting it.
  6. Vow to shop at the markets instead of the "super"markets.
  7. Present at Maryland TESOL next fall.
  8. Find more gringo food that Edwin will actually eat.
  9. Start volunteering again...hasn't been the same since I left Cincinnati.
  10. Write!  I started this year, but fell off the train when I had to go back to lesson plan world.

Never forget::The Gods have created positioning to conceal their true intent in each and every dyanmic we see in society.
There is the way things look and there is the God's REAL reason for doing things.

A good example of societal decay and how the gods manage their culpability is birth defects. In the past the gods occassionally punished people by divinely creating birth defects in the womb. Now, with the advent of biotechnology, they tempt the mother with "earning" and compell her to take a substance in utero which deforms the fetus, dispelling the gods of blame and future obligation to the victim. Incidentally, they use liberal policies to pay for these individuals, ensuring a lifetime wasted, for they have no hope for progress. Too often in the past they were mercifully killed and brought back without this handicap, allowing them opportunity to immediately resume their journey of ascention into heaven.
The gods are washing their hands of culpability. The gods are washing their hands of Planet Earth.

The gods manufactured the tactic of the Holocaust to accomplish the goals they planned.
I am of the opinion the gods would have been forced to interviene in its absence, illustrating their claims of being good, and established "old world" dictatorship control at the dawn of mankind's mass moral deterioration. Purely speculation, I conceed, and a total waste of time which distracts from important work we are all responsible for, but even without the Holocaust the gods would have manufactured something that would allow them to manage their culpability and justify their lack of divine intervention. After all, we all abide by their chronology.

Another feature which the Gods offer as a clue is very foreboading and ominous. Mt. Zion is a mountain to the north of Diablo (the eye of The Beast) and one which has a working quarry at its base. Consistant with the decay we experience in society, Mt. Zion is being eaten away, slowly stripped of its resources, until one day paradise will be gone forever.

Whimsical management:::

I'm sure you got some excuse. Just like Mustang Ranch.
You've compromised your integrity so hard you no longer deserve the label "gods".

The gods used the Italians to ruin life in the 20th century.
The gods used the Italians to ruin life in A.D. with The Church.
And each generation of these Italians were sold on "earning", only to be reincarnated as a lesser life form subsequently, punishment for their evil.
"The West Bank, where the end of the world will begin." With xtianity.
And they were reincarnated into the ghetto to be punished as crack babies and in drive-by shootings, both intentionally inflicted on the black community and poetic justice for inflicting these horrors on their hated enemies.
On their brothers.

i don't care if you did escape the last Big Bang.
The last 10,000,000,000 Big Bangs.
I would systematically exterminate your kind for exploiting me like you did.
You would be clone hosted so I could kill you over and over.
I would burn you at the stake so often you would beg me to let you die.
"You deserved it." Considering how you pushed me into all my offenses I suspect it was no different in prior lives.
Fuck you.

They share that some have expressed their concern about their obsessive behavior:::They destroyed my life they and are doing too much and have crossed the line.
I'm sure they got some excuse.
They did shit like poker, Eminem and Mustang Ranch for a reason.
