Dia de la cruz is celebrated May 3rd in El Salvador. It marks the beginning of the rainy season (winter) and dates back to prehispanic times when offerings were given to give thanks to the earth and what it provides. I just enjoy seeing all of the kinds of fruits that you don't see very often. These pictures are from Concepción de Ataco in the department of Ahuachapan.
